Eye check up camp organized for the students

Under
the Government’s Eye Check up Scheme for the students of different Government
Primary Schools, an Eye Check up camp was organized today at the Government
Junior Basic Training School which comes under the periphery of the East Main
Road located BT College. Around 63 students’ eyes were checked under the
leadership of Bishal Rai from Kalimpong Sub Divisional Hospital.
Explaining
the reason behind putting up the camp within the School premises, teacher,
Rudra Karki said that children while playing are carefree and careless; hence
many alien substances get inside their eyes along with dust and mud. The
children neither tells about this to the teachers nor to their parents,
therefore, the Government keeping in mind all of these points take the
responsibility of checking their eyes.
