Keeping
in mind the issues faced by the students of the hills who go to Kolkata or
other cities to pursue higher education, a Himalayan United Student’s Welfare
Association will be formed as an initiative of the Gorkha Janmukti Student
Morcha. The Morcha claim that they have taken this decision by taking into
account the injustice did to the hills students at various cities. Not only the
students will be helped but those who are going the wrong way and taking up bad
habits, they shall be returned back home, the Morcha notified. They also
informed that in the coming days the Morcha will be holding a meeting with the
Principals of different Private Schools to discuss about the order passed by
the Supreme Court of delivering free education.
