Three days medicinal plants display at St Philomena

An
exhibition of the extinct medicinal and the other herbal plants of the hills are
being displayed at the St Philomena School hall in Kalimpong. The main
objectives of the exhibition is to aware the coming generation its importance
and the conservation. Informing on the three days long display, the principal
of the school said that the students from class 8 to 12 have taken part on it..
The first day had the educative classes to the juniors’, the second day i.e.
Wednesday various schools will be participating and on Thursday the guardians
are invited she said.
It
is an awareness exhibition for the people of Kalimpong where the people can
know the various kinds of species of the medicinal plants prevalent in the
hills.
She
also said that the people at present are dependent on the allopathic medicines
which causes side affects but once they know about the herbal and ayurvedic
medicines it will be better for them.
