2 Nominated members for the GTA Sabha announced, rest to be declared soon

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) President,
Bimal Gurung today announced the names of the two nominated members for the
Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Sabha during the Martyrs day celebrations
at Gymkhana Skating hall. The two nominated members are Birkhu Bhusal and
Sabitri Rai. Gurung further said the other names of the nominated members will
be declared within two- three days which also include from Terai- Dooars area.
85 years old Birkhu Bhusal has been
nominated members in the Schedule Caste reservation seat from Darjeeling Sadar
20 Constituency whereas Sabitri Rai from Women reservation seat of Badamtam Constituency.
There are altogether 50 seats in the GTA
Sabha, out of which 45 are elected members and 5 are nominated. As there was
yet to declare the name of five nominated members for GTA Sabha so GJM
president Bimal Gurung announced the name of Birkhu Bhusal and Sabitri Rai.
