Town celebrates Guru Purnima

On
the eve of Guru Purnima, the Manav
Utthan Seva Samiti today conducted Guru
Puja at the Dharma Bodh Ashram located at the Gumpa Hata, 10th
Mile. After the Puja commenced by Mahatma Ambe Bai and Mahatma Sanju Bai,
devotional camp was held followed by Yoga, Bhandara
and Bhajan- Kirtan.

Ganesh Khatiwada enlightening about Guru
Puja said that it has been mentioned in every Vedas and Hindu scriptures
that the Puja is to honour Guru Shri
Satpalji Maharaj. In this make belief world, Guru Shri Satpalji Maharaj by
delivering Guru Gyaan is imparting
spiritual peace to the devotees, he added.
Also during today’s programme, Sudarshan Chettri
from Darjeeling along with Mahatma Ambe Bai and Sanju Bai explained the
relationship between a teacher and a student. Likewise, the RSS Kalimpong
Branch also celebrated Guru Purnima
in a grand manner at Thakurbari
