Asha Gurung visits Kalimpong hospital

Asha Gurung, who has
got the charge of the Health and Birth Registration Department under the GTA,
today visited Kalimpong hospital who was accompanied by the Hospital SDMO
Subratna Pradhan along with doctors and sisters. She took a good round in each
ward and interacted with the patients. Talking with the reporters Gurung said
that the hospital of the Hills will be made equivalent to that of the hospitals
in Siliguri with all the important services. Stunned by the glowing management
of the hospital she urged the management of Darjeeling hospital to learn from
Kalimpong. Every needs and amenities of the hospital will be taken into
consideration accordingly she added.
Under the 25 years of
rule by the Gorkha League, 34 of CPIM and 21 by the GNLF, the condition of the
hospitals in the Hills have worsen which will be difficult to push up at once
said Gurung.
