The Bharitya Gorkha Parisangh has congratulated all the elected and nominated members of the newly formed Gorkhaland Territorial Administration. The BGP National working President Dr Anos Das Pradhan today said that the responsibilities now has been shouldered to the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha for the overall development of the Hills. The people of the Hills trusting the GJM has made them victorious by margins and the Morcha has to live by the expectations of the people he added.
‘The GTA should be unbiased, fair and free” said Pradhan.
 
Pradhan also stressing on the GJM’s dialogues of ‘forced GTA’ and the ’the fruit of 44 months agitation’, said that if the GTA has been forced, why Morcha had accepted which still remains opaque to the masses added Pradhan.
On the other hand if the Morcha defines it as achievement, it means that the demand for the separate State Gorkhaland is sidelined. The BGP shall kick start with a new agitation for Gorkhaland held Pradhan. He also appealed the masses to support BGP if the GJM is only limited to the development of the Hills and not for Gorkhaland.
The Gorkhaland Task Force Convenor R Moktan said that the GJM should now pass a resolution of Gorkhaland and send it to the Centre and the State which clearly states that GTA is not the ultimate aim of the Gorkhas. He said that whatsoever documentation pertaining to GTA should be in Nepali languages which have been acknowledged by the State Government on 11th November 1961. The Morcha should also pass a resolution that the officers from the plains appointing in the Hills should read, write and understand the Nepali language added Moktan. The BGP has also filed an RTI to the State Government to know the same informed Moktan.
The Nepali language which has been recognized by the Indian Constitution in 1992 should be well implemented which can help the people of the Hills at the most he added.
Coming August 20 also marks the 20th year of the recognisation of the nepali language by the Indian Constitution.
