Rambi Bazar GJM Branch felicitates councilor Thapa, submits demands

A felicitation programme was today organized for the
Mangpo-Labda constituency Councilor Ratan Thapa by the Rambi Bazar GJM Branch.
The Branch President Manbaran Singh handed over the citation to Councilor
Thapa. The programme was hosted by Rambi Yuwa Morcha Branch Jiten Chettri. The
Rambi Branch General Secretary also handed a memorandum to Councilor Thapa
which stated about the demands of the constituency. They demanded the completion
of the Tourist Centre which can facilitate employment opportunities to the
locals. They memo also informs the presence of only one primary health centre along
the NH31A, which itself needs attention and the problems of the high schools
were also put up.
They have also requested for the separation of the Rambi from
the Teesta Gram Panchayat and the formation of the Rambi Gram Panchayat combining
Rambi and adjoining area. They have stressed much in solving the major issues
of the area to the Councilor through the memorandum.
Rambi which is lacking behind for the past 21 years has seen
a ray of hope for the overall development after the formation of the GTA.
The function also had the presence of Mangpo Branch President
Pradeep Chettri, Secretary Ratan Lama, Naari Morcha President Manjita Pradhan, Secretary
Anju Gupta and other representatives.
