Rambi Police In-charge body found after 9 days of road mishap

Rambi, October 07:
The decomposed body of the Rambi Police In-charge Shiv Sagar Chettri was today recovered at Mungpong forest area, after the 9th day of the fatal road accident.
The villagers of the Kala Guity Division under Darjeeling Sub Division traced the dead body lying at the riverside, this morning while collecting fodder and immediately informed the Mungpong Police Station In-charge, Uttam Sinha. After the information, the Kalimpong Police Station In-charge, Prasad Pradhan and the Traffic OC, Praveen Chettri reached the spot and identified the body.
The body was 50% decomposed but had the police uniform and belt intact through which the body could be identified.
The body was then taken to Rambi Police Station were the people offered tribute to the deceased. The CPRM leader Tara Sundas, GTA Councilor Nima Tamang and scores of people were present.
Bodies of the other 2 victims, NHPC Administrative Supervisor, Soumen Banerjee and driver Pritam Chettri, still remains untraced.
