Transfers under GTA as per Govt rules-JAKS
Darjeeling, September 30
The Janmukti Asthai Karmachari Sanghathan (JAKS) spokesperson Deepak Sharma and Kisan Gurung speaking on the matter of the transfer of the employees under various departments in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) said that it has been done as per the rules of the Government. The opposition parties are just trying to make it political, which is unfortunate said Sharma.
Sharma said that the organisation (JAKS) til date has not discriminated the employees on the grounds of political beliefs. There are a total of 6321 temporary employees working and they are getting paid without any disparities. The Sangathan on the other hand has been working for the permanency of the employees. The condition of the employees prior to the formation of the GTA was pathetic but today it has totally changed as they are receiving their basic pay with cent percent salary enchanced he informed. The transfers are being done keeping into the view of the Government rukes and as such none of the employees till date has protested it. Protesting are those who were lazy and used to be absent in offices all the time said Gurung. The protest of the different political parties on the same may hamper the employees in future. On the other hand, they (Oppositions) do not have any right to comment on it, as they did nothing for the betterment of the temporary employees during their rule.
General Secretary Kisan Gurung on the other hand completely denounced the statement of the GNLF Barbotey Branch who has stated that a rift between the JKS and the GjM has started, in a Nepali daily. The JKS is completely unknown and this is one more conspiracy of the oppourtunist said Gurung.
