Friendship with Children Week concludes

Kalimpong, November 20:
Under the auspices of
the Darjeeling Child Line Sub Center, Kalimpong, the Freindship with Children
Week which commenced from Novemebr 14, concluded today with a rally. The rally
started off from the Town Hall and encircled the main town. Earlier, the sub
divisional officer urged all the people of Kalimpong to come forward and stand
against the crimes committed against the children. The Coordinator of Child
Line Sub Center, Sister Elisa Gurung said that the main aim for the rally was
to aware and link the public with the children. The people who partook in the
programme also pledged to fight against misdeeds. The children of Bal Suraksha
Abhiyan, Gorkha Dukh Niwarak Sammelan, members of Senior Citizens, Ward
Councilor, office bearers of GJM, Sister Anna Lepcha, Sister Racheal Chettri
and sub divisional officer were also present during the day.Tags: LOCAL
