GTA Karate Do Association to be formed soon

The Karate Do
Association organized its meeting at SUMI’s Late BK Subba Memorial hall today.
The GTA Deputy Chief, Col. Ramesh Aaley who was present in the meet informed
that a GTA Karate Do Association will soon be formed under which all the Karate
Associations in the GTA will be included.
Similar meeting will be
held on December 04, 2012 at Darjeeling during which the said association will
be formed. The included associations will be allowed to partake in various
championships and also to represent the GTA in outside competitions. Soon the
process for registering the association under the All India Karate Do
Federation will also be carried out. After this, the players of the hills will
get an opportunity to partake in national and international championships.
It was also informed
during the meet that Kalimpong Karateka, Susan Thapa will be participating in
the Karate Championship to be held at Tokyo, Japan on November 20, 2012.
The GTA invited
Sabhasad, Tshering Tamang along with Ward Councilor, Zion Lepcha, working
members of the former association, Secretary, Susan Thapa, representatives from
Mirik and Kurseong and the member of All India Karate Do Federation, BB Subba
were present during the meet.
