Kalimpong, November 04:
The Regional Tibetan
Youth Congress, Kalimpong staged a rally at the Maney Lakha Gumpa, protesting
against the Chinese atrocities. 62 Tibetans since 2009 have self immolated
themselves not being able to bear the Chinese torture. Only in the month of
October 2012, 10 people are reported to have self immolated including one Dorji
Rinchen who was selected by China as an official of a community in Tibet.
The Advisor of the Regional
TYC, Palzor, President, Sonam Yaka and GTA Sabhasad, Samuel Gurung were present
during today’s rally. Sabhasad Gurung addressing the rally which dissolved at
Damber Chowk said that the Chinese atrocities are ever increasing and they have
been lying to the world. Alleging the Chinese of forcing the Tibetans to self
immolate in the name of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, he said that they (the
Chinese) are trying to pronounce HH as a terrorist. “Along with the Tibetans,
the whole world needs to be awakened”, he said and added that the International
Human Rights and UNO should step forward in order to save Tibet.
