Dalapchand PS bags UNICEF’s ‘Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar 2012’

Dalapchand Primary School situated at 15 Mile, Kalimpong has been conferred with United National International Child Education Fund’s (UNICEF’s) ‘Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar 2012’. The award was delivered to the school on the basis of health, cleanliness and purity from the hands of the GTA working Sabhasad, Roshan Giri. 5 Primary schools were already selected for the said award. Still after the enlistment, Dalapchand PS was selected.
Along with the award the school was also presented a souvenir, eulogy letter and Rs 5000/- cash. These were handed over to the school Principal, Tshering Kipa Bhutia.
Bhutia expressing happiness over the feat said that the award has encouraged the school more to work in a better way in the coming future.
Established in the year 1958, Dalapchand PS has at present 123 students. After being conferred with the award there is air of satisfaction and happiness in the school premises.
“Out of the 74 schools, we had the privilege of getting the award”, said Bhutia and added that the school is not only focused in cleanliness but is also equally serious about good education to the students.
“We try to deliver education keeping in pace with the competition with other schools”, told the Principal.
“We by imparting proper education want to set an example to those who do not prefer Primary schools”, told Bhutia.
