The semi-finals of the International Veterans Football tournament were played today at the Mela ground in Kalimpong. In the first match Bangladesh defeated Chennai Veterans by 2-0 marking their place in the finals. Likewise in the second match Kolkata crashed Jhapa, Nepal by 4-0 to meet Bangladesh in the finals that will be played on Sunday.

Talking to the reporters the general secretary of the Federation of the NE and Sikkim Veterans Sporting Association, Dendup Bhutia said that the tournament has been a great success as teams from every nook and corner partook in the tournament. The tournament will definitely boost the young generations he added.
