The finals of the 8th Late Samuel Singh & Augustine Sintlig Memorial Cup was held today. The event was organized since 29 December, 2012 at Gorek Busty under the Kagey Gram Panchayat. A total of 28 teams partook in the event. Dhandhuri Lakit Lepcha was the chief guest. The finals between the Pedong Gumpa and 17 Mile Payeu Busty saw the former as the winner with 31-16. The winners received trophy and Rs 15,000/- while the runners up team won trophy and Rs 10,000/-. Geto from the Pedong team was adjudged Man of the Match while Samir Rai became the Best Player.
