The 14th yearly convention of Yakthung Song Chumbho Kalimpong Sub Divisional Committee was organized at the Ram Krishna Rang Manch today under the chairmanship of the committee’s President, ND Limboo. Former Education Director, Government of Sikkim, SR Khajum was the chief guest while the guests of honour was Director of Cinchona Directorate, Dr GC Subba and Sikkim University’s Vice Chancelor, Dr TB Subba.

BB Muringla was felicitated by the committee as recognition for his contribution towards the development of the Limboo society. Likewise, Jetha Subba also received eulogy letter by the committee.

The committee’s Secretary delivered the annual report while the Treasurer gave details of the account.

A new committee was also formed after dissolving the old one. It has ND Limboo as the President, RK Subba as the Vice President, CB Subba as the Secretary, Khadka Bahadur Subba as the Treasurer, Shekhar Subba as the Publicity Secretary and other office bearers.

Earlier the programme started by a welcome song by the committee’s cultural faction.
