Kalimpong, April 08:

The Hill Motor Driver Workers Union has alleged the Bajla Motors of Siliguri of committing fraud. As per the Union, the Bajla Motors in the year 2011 had sold many vehicles for a down payment of Rs 15,000/- and Rs 3000/- registration number fee. But lately, the company has been issuing legal notice instead issuing the registration numbers to the buyers who are mostly drivers. In the notice the company has mentioned that the vehicles will be taken back and Rs 1 lakh fine will be penalized. The Union said that it takes a month’s time for a vehicle to get its registration number after which the vehicle gets servicing. But none of the vehicle buyers have received the registration numbers despite of having been paid the amounts.
The Union has also submitted a memorandum to the Sub Divisional officer regarding the same. The SDO has assured that he will be holding a meet with the company officials and solve the issue.
When contacted the Bajla Motors officer no proper answers were received.
