Kalimpong, April 14:

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) North East states coordinator, Sukh Bahadur Rai is on his tour of the NE states at present. He has been meeting the Morcha leaders, CMs, parliamentarians and other politicians of the NE and discussing about holding a programme of the Morcha. Under the same, it has been decided that the first programme will be held at Nagaland.

Speaking  over the phone, Rai said that after the programme at Nagaland, he will be meeting with the GJM teams of Manipur and other states. Plans have been chalked to meet the ministers to gather support for Gorkhaland, he said. The GJM NE states committee has assured to support the Morcha president, Bimal Gurung, he added. Around 56 lakhs Gorkhas residing in the NE are in favor of Gorkhaland, claimed Rai and added that they are hopeful that a separate state will be formed under Gurung’s leadership.
