Various organizations have condemned the statement of Ravinder Singh, BJP MLA of Himachal Pradesh. It may be recalled that Singh had stated that the Gorkhas eat monkey and dog meat. Following the condemnations, the Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan (JKS) BSNL unit, Kalimpong has denounced the same in strong words. The Sangathan believes that the statement has hurt the sentiment and self respect of the Gorkhas. They said that such statement from Singh is unfortunate, irresponsible and against principles. “If a person has less knowledge about something then he should refrain from commenting as he has no right to speak”, they said. The Sangathan has faxed a letter demanding apology to the hill’s MP from Singh.
