Lt Athing Saudo Tshering Tamsang Memorial Archery Tourney held

Today, archers from Darjeeling district and Sikkim partook in the Late Athing Saudo Tshering Tamsang Memorial Archery Tournament being held at the Kumudini Homes playground. It is organized by the ILTA. Late Athing Saudo Tshering Tamsang in 1925 has founded the ILTA.
Today’s game was categorized into Senior and Junior levels. In the Senior category, Punal Lepcha and Rapden Lepcha from Khamdong stood first, Thendup Lepcha and Choden Lepcha from Bongbusty stood second and Joncup Lepcha and Lizang Lepcha from Sindebong stood third.
Likewise, the Junior category had Lirup Lepcha from Bongbusty as the winner followed by Chodup Lepcha from Takna Busty and Sukden Lepcha from Lingsey in the second and third positions, respectively.
Michael from England was the chief guest for the day. Other guests included Retd, Major Baliram Tamang of British Gorkha Ex- Servicemen Association, Lt. Col. DK Chettri and office bearers of various branches of ILTA.
