No justice to ex-armies till date- Col Allay

Col Ramesh Allay, President of Gorkha Bhootpurva Sainik Morcha speaking about the 2009 incident of Darjeeling More said that still after 4 years past the incident the state and the centre governments are staying put about it. Mentioning that the ex-armies were brutally lathi charged by the police on 9th April, Col Allay said that many ex-armies suffered major injuries and some even committed suicide after the incident. However, the state government has done nothing to solve the case and deliver justice to the ex-armies, he added. Col Allay informed that they had filed an RTI regarding the case, still there have been no answers.
9th April which is regarded as the Black Day by the ex-armies in the hills will be commemorated tomorrow.
Col Allay who is also the GTA Deputy Chief said that the centre accepted GTA after 11 meetings.
“The demand of Gorkhaland will again be highlighted tomorrow”, he said.
Further, the GTA Deputy Chief said that the GJM has never betrayed the people. Speaking about those who joined the TMC he expressed his sadness.
“They have betrayed their own soil”, he said.
