The Power department has initiated raid operation in order to find those people who are using illegal electricity supply. Under the same, the department has arrested one Tej Kumar Khadka, a resident of 8th Mile yesterday. A case under section 135 (i) (b) of Power Act 2003, has been registered against Khadka at the Thana by the department. The meter has also been seized.

Station Manager, Sanjeev Agarwal today informed the reporters that the meter was read in order to know how much electricity was used the illegal way after which the electricity bill has also been sent. If the bill is not paid then legal actions will be taken against Khadka, he said and added that if further any person is found having illegal connection then they will not be getting any electricity supply.
