Bail plea rejected, Binay alleges conspiracy inside jail.

The Assistant secretary of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Binay Tamang arrested on August 22 in a controversial manner from Sikkim- Darjeeling border Thursday alleged that the state government is hatching a conspiracy even in jail with the arrested GJM leader to suppress the Gorkhaland movement thus adding a new dimension to the latest turmoil in the hills. Tamang and some more leaders were today produced in the Additional chief Judicial Magistrate Court whose bail plea was rejected and taken back to judicial custody. Tamang and other currently being kept at the Siliguri correctional home.

According to police sources was produced in the court on Thursday for the second time. While his bail plea was rejected on a number of cases, court sources said his bail plea was accepted on the case for blocking National Highway 31 A .Speaking to Journalists after the court hearing Tamang said, “The government is hatching a conspiracy against the arrested GJM leaders inside the jail. This is government’s another effort of the government to malign the Gorkhaland agitation”. Ironically, Tamang did not specify on the type of conspiracy that was being plotted by the government. Along with Tamang, GTA member Nima Tamang who had been arrested on August 14 on charges of numerous cases also failed to secure bail in cases under various courts of the district except in Kalimpong. The additional chief judicial Magistrate accepted the bail plea of Nima Tamang for the cases that falls under the jurisdiction of the court. Tamang was also taken back to jail custody.
