Kalimpong town has been turned into fortress as CM Mamta banerjee will be entering the town tomorrow afternoon according to sources.Today only police vehicle were seen running .the vehicle were carrying forces from different location .Police official from the state were seen today in kalimpong .IG S Pujara Darjeeling range special DIG Javed Samim ,SP Darjeeling Kunal Agarwal, DSP, ASP,Inspector of different district were seen today at kalimpong town.All sat in a marathon meeting to access the security for the two days program of the chief minister who will be felicitated with the highest lepcha civilian award 'kingchoom Darmit' on the 3rd of this month.

Meanwhile the peace dharna which started from Thursday under the banner of hill people at kalimpong trikone park and town hall premises has been lifted from today.Informing about the same bhupendra lepcha convenor of the lepcha rights movement said that a appeal came from Dr Enos das pradhan president of BHAGOP and considering the same we have decided to lift the dharna .He said that the dharna was only for peace as forces were randomly raiding the villages ,people in the villages were in great fear of the move of the administration.He also said that Lepcha people always supported the gorkhaland movement and in future they will do the same .
