On 22 November 13, the local military units
in North Sikkim under Striking Lion Division extended medical assistance to
victims of two separate accidents, thus bringing to fore the humane image and
unrelenting support the Army extends to citizens. After receiving information about
a tourist vehicle having overturned with nine passengers while negotiating a
sharp bend in Yumthang, the Army immediately rushed a rescue team with a Doctor
to extend First Aid and thereafter provided specialized treatment to three
seriously injured tourists at its Field Hospital in Theng. In a separate incident, a couple on a
motorcycle who met with an accident with a Truck near Chungthang were also
evacuated in an Army vehicle and were provided medical aid at the same
hospital. The excellent response of the hospital team has been appreciated by
the local populace. Meanwhile Striking Lion Division undertook a massive
Cleanliness drive in the high altitude of Lachen and Lachung Valleys of North
and North Sikkim last week. The Said Information was received in a Press
Release issued by the Head Quarter of 27th Mountain Division in
kalimpong.

1 Respones to "MEDICAL AID TO ROAD ACCIDENTS VICTIMS BY INDIAN ARMY IN NORTH SIKKIM "
Medical aid is comparatively faster in America than in India. I wonder why. Thanks for the news by the way. I'll write a study about medical aid providers efficiency country-wise.
