Kendriya Vidyalaya Kalimpong concluded its 28TH Annual Day celebration on thursday
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Maj. Gen Abhay Krishna
SM,VSM ,GOC 27 Mountain Division . Col.
Kapil Bahuguna nominee Chairman VMC was also there to witness the
programme. This 2:30 hours extravaganza saw the performances of children
from the primary to senior secondary , giving all the children of the school a
chance to be on stage and be a part of the celebration.
The Programme started with Lamp lightning. It comprised of the presentation of the Annual
Report by the Principal Mr. P.P.Yadav. Awards were given in abundance by the
Chief Guest to acknowledge and motivate
the students. The Annual Report gave a brief of the growth of the school both
in terms of the student and mentor strengths including the achievements of the
Vidyalaya.
In order to showcase the performance of the students and
the choreography of the teachers an action song was presented. The tiny tots in their colorful costumes and graceful steps enthralled the audience with their
various performances, in which they enacted popular song. English Skit based on
O Henry’s One act play was presented beautifully by the students. Rajasthani Dance
on the other hand was mostly appreciated by the audience. In order to make the
audience laugh a comedy Hindi drama was presented which left a significance of
education. The students presented most
traditional Kawwali in an artistic manner.
The audience which consisted of guest and parents were
appreciative of the splendid performances by the students.
