The National Voter’s Day which is celebrated every year on January 25 throughout the country will be celebrated next year too with same great zeal and enthusiasm. A  series of program would be observed throughout the month of January informed SDO K Radika Aiyar .She informed about the programmes that are to be organised on the day as directed by the Election Commission of India.

SDO Aiyar informed that Slogan writing and painting competition will be held on January 4 which will be held at Kalimpong Sapta shri gyan pith  School at the sub-division level and 3 other blocks at the block level. A street play with the theme of ' Why political freedom is above all the freedom ? Meanwhile A human chain and Pravat pheri of SHG groups member and government officials at block level and extempore speech pledge and distribution of new epic card to new Electorate along with speech is scheduled at sub division and block level.

Aiyar appealed to general public to take mass participation in the upcoming lok sabha polls .
