People from all walks of life gathered to pay their last tribute to the Retd IAS and Municipality Chairman of Kalimpong  Late L.B.Pariyar during his last rite on Sunday. Late Pariyar’s body was taken to the Municipality premises from its home at East Main road amidst a solemn gathering.

The bier was also kept for sometime in front of the Kalimpong Muncipality where he served as a Chairman from 21st DEC 2011 till his date .Municipality ward commissioner staffs and  other staffs paid homage to him .

Zion Lepcha ward Councillor today read the Work field of Pariyar The first IAS of gorkha community . A two min silence followed by a guard of honor was conducted. 

'Nelson Mandela death is being described as a end of a era Pariyar death is too a end of era ' told Dr.Harka Bahadur Chettri MLA of kalimpong.

"I have seen many time in tripatite talks when may top bureaucrats terming him as 'SIR' and paying respect.Having come from a poor background family and passing IAS in 1963 was made possible by him " added Chettri. 

CM Mamata Banerjee condolence message with other was hug all around the Vehicle which was carrying the Dead body.

GJM Bimal Gurung too visited the house of Pariyar saturday.

The last rite was conducted today at kalimpong bhalukhop.

It may again be recalled that 77 years old Late Pariyar passed away late night on December 6th following a heart attack.
