A fast shrinking vegetable basket has become the cause of common anxiety for the masses and several other residents across kalimpong . Today for the first time in history of kalimpong the administration hanged a Rate board of vegetable prices in Kalimpong Hat Bazaar gate .

Saturday is the main market day in kalimpong ,people from villages and town come to market to buy vegetables and other stuff but the uneven price of essential commodities, particularly vegetables is not same in the market after which in the month of September the district enforcement branch first time raided the market after the agitation came to a halt.Again last month the Government price of onion and sweet potato was hung up in the market after which today finally the administration hung up the rate of different vegetable in a board.

Daily buyers told that today we witness the even price of commodities all over the market which was never seen before.

I did not see such a rate board before told a 74 yr man who sells vegetables in the market.

December month has seen the price of vegetable going down from week to week ,the rate today was provided by the vegetables seller who sell their commodities keeping a marginalized profit.
