The Telangana topic has raised the political mercury in the hills. As per the directions of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Central Committee, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Kalimpong Sub Division committe today organised a Rally in demand for a separate State . The rally which started from party office ended at Damber Chowk after encircling the main town.The Ward Councilors, members of the Naari Morcha and members of the GJM Sub Divisional Committee along with many members of the Frontal Organistation partook in the rally.The rally witness less participation of member. Kumar Chamling Secretary of Kalimpong GJM addressing said that Government must create a separate state Gorkhaland after Telangana. We have nothing to say to with the State Government. The line is now clear that no state consent is needed for formation of a state.“The Morcha had never sidelined the Gorkhaland demand and will keep the agitation unless it is formed”, said Chamling who congratulated UPA Government and people of Telangana.The Centre will have to bifurcate West Bengal without the state government’s consent as has been done in the case of Telangana added Chamling.
