Addressing  a TMC election rally in favor of TMC Darjeeling Candidate Bhaichung Bhutia Banerjee without naming GJM and its Chief Bimal Gurung attacked both .She said that she has visited hills and North Bengal bout 35 times but never ever asked for Vote . This is my first election rally in the hills and make sure that Bhaichung Bhutia is the best Candidate from this constituency. She said that Hills and plains living together is good for all. Without naming any one She attacked the ruling political party saying that the politics of Strike, vandalism and Murder ruled the hills . I Cant understand the hills politics. Our Government was the first to visit Sikkim in Earthquake, whenever hills came in trouble we came but the leaders of hills every six month go to Delhi. She said that She have contacted three times the leader regarding Candidate but from the other side sometimes 'we haven't decided' or 'our party will decide' . ' Is it a International party or i am their servant to call again and again added Mamata.She today said that the Government according to GTA pact had waive all the agitation long electricity bills but i have received complains of Agitation period bills coming from Bhupendra Lepcha and definitely will look into this matter.

Banerjee today reiterated that the hills and the plains are like brothers and sisters. “Darjeeling is the heart of Bengal which can never be separated from the body.”


Mamata Banerjee said  "Why are they(GJM) shouting for Gorkhaland? We have given them GTA (Gorkha Territorial Administration) - let them work there and prove themselves. In education the order is first primary, then secondary, then higher secondary, then college, then university. But they want to go to the university without going to the primary," -
