CPIM wants 'Permanent Solution' for the Darjeeling Hills-Saman Pathak

Kalimpong,11th March
CPIM party has today Started its campaign in Kalimpong for the upcoming parliamentary election. Party Darjeeling constituency candidate Saman Pathak said his prime election agenda this time around will be a 'permanent solution' for the Darjeeling Hills issue.
He added he would go on an 'intensive campaign' and raise the issue of the 'permanent solution.' He said we want to introduce Amended 6th Schedule in the region by amending Art 244 M .
He said that CPIM Party always wanted a full fledged autonomous council for hills but the center govt has some interest in keeping the problem of Darjeeling alive.
We want Darjeeling to be included in North East Council . Cpim polit beuro member Sitaram Yechury has laid it in parliament in 2012.
Again he added that for development purpose of darjeeling a member of this area should be in planning commission.
"We will go to the polls with the slogan 'peace, development and democracy," he said adding he bowed to simultaneously work for the development of the hills and plains. While addressing a meeting with party today .
"We will have certain agenda for the polls where this issue will be mentioned. We want a permanent solution. Our political fight will be based on this principle," Mr Pathak told a press meet after the meeting here.He further said the government should take initiatives to utilise the natural resources in the Hills.
Attacking on the TMC led State Government he said that the state government is interfering with the operations of the departments under the GTA .
CPIM government never use administration to curbe the movement in the hills , we wanted peace but after the formation of Tmc Government TMC and GJMM signed a Pact .
On a separate state issue he said that the formation of Separate state would not fulfill the aspiration of Gorkha all over the country but if we are declared Linguistic minority then it will cover entire country Gorkhas at once.
He today showed differences between the activities of His Rajya Sabha Terms and MP Jaswant Singh Lok sabha Terms. He said Mr Singh never asked a question in question hour but i raised 97 question pertaining
to issues of Darjeeling. I participated in 18 Debate but Mr Singh raise 2 Times issue of Gorkhaland fully and once partially.
The hills has got the result of Supporting BJP. Will the people again support it ?
The party member along its candidate took out a rally in the Market too.
