Rifleman Mag Bahadur Gurung of 45 ASSAM RIFLES, a
resident of Bong Busty Kalimpong
died on duty while serving his unit at
Tripura. The mortal remains of the
serving soldier were received with full of military honours on behalf of Lt Gen
KJ Singh, AVSM**, GOC Trishakti Corps at Kalimpong Military Station when it
arrived under armed escort from Bagdogra airport at 0800h on 07 April 2014.
The last rites of the serving soldier were performed
at burial ground at East Main Road Kalimpong in the presence of his father,
wife and relatives. Last homage was paid
to the departed soldier with full military honors and wreaths were laid on
behalf of Lt Gen KJ
Singh, AVSM**, GOC Trishakti Corps and all ranks of Striking Lion Division,
Indian Ex-servicemen League and Sakha Sainik Board Kalimpong
