Gang rape accused sent to 2 days of police remand

Basak (36) and Mohammad Furkan Alam (20) of Limbu busty Siliguri has been
arrested in charges of rape with a 11 year old minor by Sevoke police on Sunday.
According to information received both the accused and the victim hails from
same area and on Sunday came to Sevoke with her. As per the girl both tried to
rape her in the jungle area near Coronation Bridge(Bagpul) which comes under
kalimpong sub division under rambi check post. not only this they click the
photos and videos of the incident . The girl crying came to Bagpul after the
incident and narrated the incident to local women who helped her to reach
nearby Sevoke police post. The incident happened around 11 according to Police.
"The victim has been sent for Medical check at Siliguri. Meanwhile both has been booked under 376D IPC and Section 4 of POCSO Act " informed a Police source
Both accused work as a driver and bought the girl who works as a thrash picker .They tried to bring the girl in confidence of giving work and took the advantage. Today both were produce before Kalimpong ACJM court from where they have been sent to 2 days of Police remand for further interrogation.
Kalimpong N.H 31 A area has witnessed 3 such incident within a month and
one molestation case.
