Udai Rai(17) of Rai gau Tista valley died due to drowning at Rangeet Khola Under R.R Thana under Darjeeling Sub division. According to information received the team of Udai and some of the friend and relative has gone for a outing at Triveni today, but around 12.15 Rai who went for swimming suddenly dipped inside the water and was not able to come out.
Soon the nearby Tista out post was informed after which the Rafting rescue team reached the spot and took out unconscious body of Rai. Police and other Tried to give CPR to the body but no use later he was declared dead by nearby hospital. His body was sent for post mortem at Kalimpong Sub division hospital.
