Rambi Police under it OC Sujit Lama  yesterday night seized illegal liquor from a Tata Sumo gold Vehicle near 27th mile after it raided the vehicle ,WB76 A 0345 at 27th mile on NH 10 around 8 p.m in the night after getting information in which they seized different brands of illegal liquors of Sikkim brand

The liquors were being transported from Sikkim and was supposed to be sent for sale in Salugara . The police also arrested the driver of the vehicle Amber Bahadur Biswakarma (46) of Rompu Sikkim and booked him under the Bengal Excise Act 46 (A) .

Today he was produced before the Kalimpong Court from where he has been sent to 14 days of Judicial remand.
