World theater day observed in GDNS hall

Kalimpong March 28, 2015:
Although the theaters have given countless faces to the film industries,
the nerve centers of performances seem to be on a stage where the
curtains come down and a lasting applause lingers for hours. The stage
show, skit, or drama is now an endangering passion in the hills which in
other hand is a booming industry in other states. With the drive to
preserve the significance of dramas, artists belonging to different
organizations came together to celebrate the world’s theater day in
Gorkha Dukha Niwarak Samaylan hall today with dramatists and performers
from around the three hill subdivision. Throwing light on the importance
of drama, Arun Prakash Rai a dramatist asserts to conserve drama rather
than celebrating it, addressing the people present in the hall, he said
‘more than celebrating, let us preserve this day by giving importance
to theaters.’ However, Bikram Parajulee a film director and a
coordinator of today’s program also nodded his head with agreement on
the fact that movies and film industries are obscuring the insight of
dramas, explaining more about the context he said, ‘dramas undeniably
has a good market and we have good dramatists, performers and even
platforms but what we lack here is, good organizers’ Before theaters get
branded as a history, the concerned artists would like to gallop in
order to form a registered organization to protect dramas, ‘we might
possibly affiliate the organization to National School of Drama, Sikkim’
adds Parajulee who prolongs his conversation with the Journalists
saying that they would now come up with new dramas in every 2-3 months
and promote new artists. ‘We would also like to arrange a workshop
related to dramas once in a while’ said Parajulee before winding up.
However the assemblage later presented a skit in the hall which was
undoubtedly appreciated with lasting applause's.
