One 65 year old Santavir Tamang of Lower Geshok was dead when the pick up vehicle he was traveling feel down 80 ft from the raod at Geshok about 40kms from Kalimpong town. The incident happened on Sunday evening around 6 when the vehicle coming from oodlabari  met with an accident. Soon after the incident the driver flee from the spot. The Post Mortem was conducted today was the body was hand over to kins.

Meanwhile the second incident happened at 27th Mile under Rambi police post at NH 10 . One truck vehicle ( WB 73 B 7802) which was heading towards Gangtok from Siliguri met with a accident at 27 mile around 11 pm last night . The vehicle which was carrying bricks fell down 50 ft from the road side injuring both the driver and helper. Police with the help of local rescue both the Driver Julian Chettri(25) of Rangli Rangliot and Helper Ashis Rai(23) of Malli Kera Bari Sikkim. Both were refereed to Siliguri overnight.
