Kalimpong,11th June

Two people were killed and two injured in an overnight accident at Charcoal about 38 kms away from Kalimpong Town. The accident occurred around 8.30 pm last night when a bolero plus vehicle (SK 01 J 3013) fell approx 50 ft from the road into the jungle which killed Deepan alias Biswas Bhujel (28) of Ahal Dara Kaffer and Mani kr Tamang(43) of Samalbung. The area was covered with dense fog and the road was slippery after evening rain which may resulted in an accident according to local. The area was dark as the light went off after rain which helped the local to trace the vehicle after they saw the front light of the vehicle lighting in the jungle below. The local acted immediately and helped rescue Lalit Subba(30) and Prem Rai(26) both resident of Sinjee area who were rushed to Kalimpong Hospital overnight. A Team of Kalimpong Police after getting information reached the spot around 2.30 am and soon after the day came out the police and local took out the two dead body which were later send to Kalimpong Hospital for Autopsy . The Vehicle owner is from Nimachen , Chhujachen Sikkim.
