Kalimpong July 8, 2015: Diliram Adhakari (53) son of Kharga Adhakari from Gairi gaon, lower Bong busty went missing after yesterday’s torrential rain. His body was found in Bojey Jhora around 9 am, today by the local people who then informed the police and the fire brigade team.
Sources from Bong busty said that Diliram Adhakari was partially handicapped since a long time. However another intellectual source assumed that Adhakari was crossing Bojey Jhora around 4:30 pm yesterday while it was raining heavily. His body was washed away by the force of the river like stream.
‘The body was spotted 250 meters away from the actual path’ said the police source adding that Adhakari’s body was covered with a huge boulder which could not be removed by the people gathered there.
The fire brigade team in the spot broke the boulder and recovered his body around 11 am. It was known that his head was turned to 360 degrees.
His body was sent to the Sub-Divisional Hospital for Postmortem.
Kalimpong received about 92 mm of rainfall in just a span of few hour yesterday evening which also resulted in closure of NH as shooting stone gathered at Swetijhora , The NH was made green to traffic at around 8 am in the morning.
