Trilok Subba to receive West Bengal Khel Samman

Kalimpong lad Trilok Subba, 7th.Dan international and national Taikwondo player will
be felicitated by Khel Samman award the state govt 2nd highest Sports
award.Subba who received the official letter yesterday intimating him of
receiving the award today went from kalimpong to Kolktaa where he will
be receiving the Khel Samman award in a function to be held at Netaji
Indoor Stadium on 1st Dec from the hands of State CM Mamata Banerjee.
Subba received the letter from Rajesh Pandey , IAS,Secretary to the Government of West bengal informing that the Government of West Bengal Sports Department has decided to confer him with Khel Samman Award for year 2015-16.
The martial artiste from Kalimpong has many feathers in his cap, both as a player and as a coach. Forty-eight year old Trilok Subba has to his credential 12 international, nine nationals and seven North East games gold medals in Taekwondo.
“I am very pleased to hear that i will be receiving West Bengal first ever award ,” he said.
West Bengal Khel sammman was introduce from the year 2013 by Mamata Government to player for their valuable contribution in different forms of sports
