Cabinet passes Kalimpong District , Locals rejoice at Kalimpong

The people of Kalimpong came out on the streets in large numbers and expressed their happiness when the chief minister Mamata Banerjee, announced the declaration of Kalimpong as a separate district along with four other new districts after the meet.
The first one to celebrate after Dr Chhetri at Kolkatta was his Kalimpong District Demand Committee who from the dharna place at Trikone park busted crackers and took out a victory processions to express their gratitude to the government.
Harka Sir Zindabad, Kalimpong Zilla Zindabad was the cahnting slogan of DDC which encircled the whole town and later stopped at Trikone Park.
Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri , the main coordinator of DDC thanked the State CM for taking great administrative for People of Kalimpong. He congratulated all the people of Kalimpong and Mirik too which was declared as a Sun division by CM.
Dr Chhetri will come on 20th where he will be received by thousand of supporter from NJP informed Yusuf Simick coordinator of DDC at Kalimpong. The credit goes to him , his hard work and dedication has bring laurel to people of Kalimpong added Nayan Pradhan another Coordinator of DDC.

Meanwhile GJMM was not far behind a large no of party supporter came to Damber Chowk and blasted cracker midst slogan of Bimal Gurung zindabad , We want Gorkhaland.
Samuel Gurung GTA executive member thanked the state government for fulfilling Morcha long district demand. He demanded that soon a gazette notification should come out. Gurung said Mal and Mateli which was a part of Kalimpong an now is in Dours region should be included in new Kalimpong District.
Later a poster of GJMM Sub divisional committee was seen at Damber Chowk thanking the state government and demanding gazette notification.
