A four day Painting exhibition of Himachal Pradesh Chamba resident artist
Ravi Gurung kick off today at Girls High School old hall. The Diploma in Fine
Arts from the University of Punjab , Gurung is a sculptor and painter who
earlier in 2009 and 2012 too organised a painting and sculpture exhibition simultaneously
in Kalimpong . Gurung, this time has more than 20 paintings and about 5 sculptures
in the exhibition. The Painting theme is based on Ganesha, music, mother and
child, etc .Today the exhibition was inaugurated by renowned Dramatist Mohan
Bista and Pukar Gurung popularly known as Mohan Pukar. The 4*3 Canvas have Abstracts,
contemporary and modern art made of oil painting.The exhibition is supported by
Kalimpong Science Centre exhibition
which will finished on 5th Jan. Today, the Science center's curator
Dr. BB Gurun, Horticulture officer
Mahadev Chhetri, District Cooperative Bank Chairman BK Sharma, Pastor D Khaling
along with Ravi Gurung were present in the inauguration program.Tags: LOCAL
