An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale was registered at Manipur in wee hour today.  The tremor of the zolt was witness slightly at Kalimpong but no casualties or damage were reported.

According to data from the Indian Meteorological Department ,Pune, the tremor occurred at 04:35:22 HRS(IST).

Many did and many did not felt the tremor but who felt did updated their status sharing there experience in social sites.

Darjeeling DM Anurag Srivastav said 'No damage so far due to Earthquake has been reported in Darjeeling district. Some people had minor injuries due to panic attacks in Siliguri and all barring one woman who had broken teeth have been discharged'.
