West Bengal Correctional Administration minister Haider Aziz Safwi today visited the subsidiary correctional home.

Asked about when the notification of Kalimpong District may come the minster said that it may take some time and may be by year end the process may start.

correctional home today. Safwi who is on a official visit came from Darjeeling this afternoon and first headed straight to Kalimpong Circuit House. He then around 3 pm visited the Kalimpong subsidiary correctional home and met with the 36 inmate there. He said the home  wall was damaged by earthquake where repairing work is going on. He said Our cabinet has passed a resolution of making Kalimpong a District . We will later make a District Correctional Home after the process starts of formation of District.

 The official notification of the District formation as regularly expressed by MLA Kalimpong Dr H B Chhetri was before the State Legislature as the state is gong to polls this year.

The minister have expressed that the TMC government will come to power this time with more seat then last time.He will head to Siliguri tomorrow.
