After 9 days the indefinite hunger strike of Khamba Community at Trikone park has been suspended today. Demanding the board to run by Khamba rights movement and against the interference of KKRS the 14 members started hunger strike from 16th after which later the number rose to 22 . In between 9 youth were hospitalized . Today Kalimpong MLA and JAP party president Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri gave water to hunger striker after which the 9 days strike was suspended . Talking to reporter Dr Chhetri told that he along with KRM member met Bengal Minister Aroop Roy at Siliguri yesterday in which the minister gave a assurance that no party will be denied justice. He too appealed to lift up the Hunger strike. Meanwhile BCWD officer SK Thade too have appealed to KRM to lift up the strike as he said that a amicable settlement will be done to help run the board. Sandip Kulung KRM secretary told we have temporary suspended the indefinite hunger strike after the assurance by minister and keeping in view the code of conduct. He said we will again be ready to sit on hunger strike if our demand are not met and this time we will come with addition  impact full program.
