17 out of 23 ward votes for JAP , Time to introspect for Morcha in Municipal areas

Despite of a defeat in Kalimpong
Constituency JAP have a reason to smile. JAP party has lead Morcha in 17 wards
out of 23 under Kalimpong Municipality. The Figure is a boost to JAP and Introspection
for Morcha . The 4 hills Municipality will go for polls probably in
December.
The 23 ward have 45 polling booth
all together where out of 35 JAP have lead Morcha and Morcha lead in 10 booth
only.
The main market area ward from
1-14 along with 20, 21 and 22 mandate have gone to JAP where as 15-19 and 23
mandate went with Morcha
Out of 23,571 votes polled JAP
secured 12065 and Morcha 9295 in addition Nota and three other candidate got
2211 that put the total anti morcha vote to 14276. JAP got 51% and Morcha 39%
whereas the rest got 10% vote which is surely a time of introspection for the
ruling GJM in Kalimpong.
GJM president who have yesterday
said that if need Municipality Councilor along with Sabhasad will be change and
why the vote went against Morcha we will sit and introspect. Today Bimal Gurung
sat with all GTA and Municipality ward commissioner around 3 hour long meeting
here.
Meanwhile JAP party president
today said that we are happy with the polls we got and specially the Municipality
area where he lead. We lost this election but will contest all coming election.
He added that the party will not focus in Kalimpong Municipality alone but also
Darjeeling , Kurseong and Mirik Municipality which will go for polls in 6 month
time
