Devika Rai A daughter of a carpenter of remote village at Bidhyang under Block 2 Kalimpong have scored 606(86.6%) marks in Madhyamik Pariksha 2016 which was declared this morning . Rai a student of Saint Joseph School Gitabling school which is affiliated with Saint Georges High School Pedong appeared the exam . Saint Josephs school was less known to Kalimpong town but the achievement of Devika has made the Gitabling and Bidhayang Proud. A place were very less connectivity reached when this reporter contacted on getting the no when asked Do you have any information that You have topped Kalimpong Sub Division She halted and in a mild voice said No. She wanted to become a army nurse and said she will take Science and Study at Kalimpong Girls High School. Saint Georges Pedong have topped the Girls and Boys section too with Sujay Dewan of the school scoring 603(86.1%). The School have got 100% result unlike many schools in Kalimpong. Utsarga Rai with 83.1% of Saint Philomina came third overall . Devika Scored 91IN First Language,92 in Second Language,69 in Mathematics ,85 in Physical Science ,98 in Life Science ,81 in History and 90 in Geography with 85 in elective Subject
