Large Cardamom which is a Cash Crop is exported in large volume by India to other countries viewing this KKS has demanded to release of grant in aid of large cardamom.

"Under this ministry , spices board provides grant in aid( subsidy) to farmers in different intervention like, nursery development , replantation , vermi-composting, modified vatti, rain water harvesting , irrigation equipment etc every year which till now have contributed and enhance the production of large cardamom. But the year 2016-17, the forms for grant in aid to farmers has not been distributed. When inquired about the same the fund for the period has not yet been released from the ministry" he said.

So, today the KKS by post send a memorandum demanding intervention and have appealed to include large Cardamom under National Crop Insurance Scheme which will help the marginal farmers from Darjeeling Hills, Sikkim, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland
